St Mary's Mowing Team

Behind the peaceful and well-kept churchyard at St Mary’s is a dedicated group of volunteers both those who attend church and those who do not —our Mowing Team. This hard-working crew helps maintain the grounds, ensuring the churchyard remains a welcoming, tidy, and tranquil space for worshippers, visitors, and the whole community.

The team works on a rota throughout the growing season, mowing the lawns and helping to care for the green spaces around the church. Their efforts not only keep the grounds looking beautiful but also support our role as stewards of this historic and much-loved setting.

New volunteers are always welcome! If you enjoy being outdoors and would like to contribute a little of your time, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, every pair of hands makes a difference.
